We are working diligently on setting up a permanent base of operations at Lamanai Outpost’s airstrip, where we intend to offer clients the chance to see these amazing temples and structures from the sky in our Trikes. We also will share in the enjoyment of flying low over the marshes and jungles surrounding Lamanai, and the new river lagoon, where it is not uncommon to see all sorts of wild life, including all sorts of fresh-water fish, crocodiles, and even jaguars.
This quick, one-minute video give a glimpse of what it’s like flying in one of our Kitewings into the clouds above San Pedro, Belize.
Feel the clouds, taste them, and yes even smell them — indeed, this truly is an unforgettable experience. Feel what it’s like to be truly IN the clouds, be one with them.
Come join us & fly into the clouds above Ambergris Caye, Belize.
Here is some great video shot by the kind folks at The San Pedro Sun of the Toucanfly trikes flying right over the reef — these are some completely unique views of the Belizean barrier reef. In only our first few flights, we’ve already been lucky to have flown just above some dolphins who were curious and eager to join us, as well as had some spectacular views of the reef and the life below. For those folks who wish to see our reef’s more famous inhabitants (bull sharks especially) — there’s likely no better way to see them than from above…

“In drafting our report, we use scores of information sources — including publicly available data — to rate each country’s genuine commitment to environmental protection, social welfare and human rights.” says Christy Hoover, co-author of the report. “Data sources include the United Nations Development Program, Human Rights Watch, Columbia University, Reporters Without Borders, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and many others. Private interviews with NGO leaders are part of the process, as well.” The full report can be viewed at www.ethicaltraveler.org/destinations.
